THE PAUL AND JEANNIE MORRIS EDUCATION TRUST SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
2019/20 Need-Based Academic Scholarship Guidelines

The Paul and Jeannie Morris Education Trust was established to provide “for the payment of post high school education costs for one or more financially needy students from financially needy families."  Post high school education shall include enrollment at trade schools, technical schools, apprenticeship programs, and/or colleges and universities, not to be limited by geographic location.
You must meet ALL of the following eligibility requirements to be considered for this scholarship:
(1) Total household gross income must be less than $85,000.00 (verification will be required for selected recipient(s))
(2) Currently enrolled as a senior of Connersville High School
(3) Plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college, technical school, or apprenticeship program
(4) Have a minimum 3.0 G.P.A. (on 4.0 scale)
(5) Possess a positive attitude, a desire to learn, and a strong work ethic

The Paul and Jeannie Morris Education Trust Scholarship provides for the complete financial payment for all post high school education expenses, such as: tuition, books, class materials, and reasonable room and board. Any financial award granted shall be reduced only by State and Federal aid that the student is reasonably entitled to (so long as such aid does not have to be repaid).
Scholarships granted by the Paul and Jeannie Morris Education Trust are intended to support a student’s educational pursuits for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis; however, scholarships may be revoked, without advanced notice, due to a student’s poor attendance, poor academic performance, dishonesty, perceived lack of desire, perceived lack of academic effort, and/or perceived involvement in activities by the student that are unacceptable based on law or common morality. Transcripts and/or semester grade reports may be requested, from time to time, to determine ongoing eligibility.
Tuition fees will be paid directly to the college, technical school, or apprenticeship program. It will be the student’s responsibility to submit to the Trustee an invoice for tuition and fees each semester as it becomes available.

Applications must be received before 5:00 p.m. on May 29, 2020. Late applications will not be accepted.
