Reid Health Connersville will be covered by Anthem

Anthem agrees to keep Connersville locations in-network for Reid Health
In what officials called great news for Connersville area patients, Anthem has agreed to honor as in network claims at two locations Reid Health added last year. This ensures all Reid Health locations in Connersville are now covered under an existing agreement with the insurance provider.
"This is wonderful news for the growing number of patients served by Reid Health in Connersville," said Craig Kinyon, Reid Health President/CEO. "On behalf of those patients, we truly appreciate that Anthem heard and responded to their concerns."
The situation was going to affect the services Reid Health provides in two locations acquired as part of Reid's purchase of most of the assets of Fayette Regional Health System in July 2019: the main campus at 1941 Virginia Avenue and Reid Health Care Pavilion on Erie Avenue. Until the recent decision by Anthem, those locations were at risk of being out-of-network sometime in March.
The issue did not affect Reid Health's longstanding locations in the Whitewater Valley Medical Center or the more recently added Reid Health Physician Associates offices, Reid Health Primary & Specialty Care - Virginia Avenue and Outpatient Behavioral Health - Connersville.
Reid Health's Chief Financial Officer Chris Knight was notified of the decision earlier this month by David T. Lee, M.D., Regional Vice President, Indiana Provider Solutions, with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
"We look forward to our continued partnership," Dr. Lee said in the letter.
